(Houston) Dexterity: A Night In Paris Fashion Show lineup flew in designers from Paris, New York, South Bronx, Mexico, and Houston at The Bell Tower on Sunday, June 11, 2023.
Young models from the age of 5 to adult models bring back runway catwalks taught by runway coach, designer, and stylist Tim Thorn. There was also dress code approval from Dress Code Chic, H-town designer Danny Nguyen Take Over, and more from The Dapper Dan, Puma, and Mario Bros inspired designer Mario Vigelatto “Think and Become”. Introduced by Thorn, designer LaJasha Champion, and actress Daire Mcleod lit up the front row during intermissions captivating guest in the audience, here’s a recap of all the Summer 2023 show highlights.
1. The Draw Dropping Runway Walks Make Statements: Manuela Sanchez

2. Dress Code Chic Elegant Summer Evening
For Dress Code Chic, a summertime collection, left guests in attendance utterly speechless with gowns taking over The Bell Tower bringing Paris to Houston, Texas. Merging summer, elegance, and sheek, the looks coming down the runway included bold summer colors, pink, yellow, and orange. Standing out from the show’s setting, the collection was inspired by designer Nichola’s mother.

3. The 80’s Are Back with Pixelated Inspired Collection : Mario Miguelito
Streetwear, pixelated clouds, iconic frames, the NY fitted baseball cap- the runway was brought back in time to “Think and Become”. The Dapper Dan, Puma, and Mario Bros inspired designer Mario Miguelito give a dose of intersectionality and inclusio, merging reality and the gaming world.

4. LaJasha Champion Stunning Hand-made Dress During Intermission
LaJasha Champion, a self-made interdisciplinary designer, is best known for her unique fashion pieces and costumes. During an intermission, she was introduced by Thorne for her determination in shadowing great designers. Champion hit the runway in a handmade Kente gown "Royalty Rooted" with pockets, an open back with a bow, and two jasmine ponytails with butterflies flying down her ponytail- paving the way for inspired upcoming designers. This dress was made in 4 days! Wow.
5. World Renowned Couture Designer Danny Nguyen Take Over
Houston’s best designer, Nguyen's wedding and formal dresses caused a choke hold for the audience with a standing ovation. The magenta color pop silhouettes were everything dramatic and glamorous. In preparation for New York Fashion Week, Nguyen is back in the fashion scene and recently stepped out on a new business venture opening Boba House.

6. Daire Mcleod Captivates Guest In The Audience Reminding Us To Leave Loving Ourselves
Ending the weekend with never-before-seen fashion collections, Mcleod ended the night performing latest song "Down In The River" hoping to leave guests with a lifting spirit, to love themselves, the night in Paris was awe inspiring.
