"Being there for them at this time, a lot of people are in need. The climate shows a lot of people going through it, so just being there and being able to be that shoulder to lean on will show them to keep going rather than giving up." Said Trae Tha Truth.
Houston artist and humanitarian Trae Tha Truth does it again, caring for the people of his community! Trae Day is back this year with ongoing community events and a huge lineup of celebrities ready to take the stage during the family fun day festival.
July 22, 2008, is the day that Houston Mayor Bill White and the city of Houston honored Trae Tha Truth by proclaiming TRAE DAY. His notable actions to help the city were in response to relief efforts during hurricane season, food drives, and providing resources and donations to the people of Houston.
Thursday, July 21, began the kick-off of Trae Day. As seen at the Minute Maid Park, fans watched Trae have the first pitch at the Astros game.
Later that evening, families received relief at the gas pump as Trae Tha Truth filled 100 families with free gas!
It doesn't stop there. Located at Chick-Fil-A on 10225 Almeda Genoa and South 45 Freeway, hungry Houstonians grab a bite to lunch.

Chick-Fil-A Operation Manager Joseph Anderson shares how grateful he is to ensure the community is provided with a meal and receives education. "Chick Fil-A wants to be the world's most current company, and Trae Tha Truth is a very influential individual in the community, so being able to partner with him knowing that we will be able to help hunger as well as the youth when it comes to education that's really big for us and we appreciate that. H-Town, "Anderson stated.
Trae ended the lunch with a hug and pictures with his fans. He also rented out Kids Flip N Fun Trampoline Park Take Over and encouraged families to bring their children to have some fun.
@Isawdray on Instagram posted a clip of children stomping, dancing, and gearing up for fun with screams and shouts.
Right when you think the events are over, welp, you are wrong. The Festivities continued with a late-night bike ride. "We Outside" is what Midnight Riders, a Houston bike company, shared on their Instagram story as Trae Tha Truth rode through the city with his people.
"A long time ago, he did help with our family. We just love you!" Said Manasseh Reed.
Events will be happening all weekend. Stay tuned by following @Traeabn on Instagram.
